Q: Can you tell us about your journey into modeling? How did it all begin?

Saadat: I was scouted at the age of 16 through Facebook by scout in Azerbaijan. At the time, I didn’t aspire to be a model — my real dream was to become a fashion designer. But after some encouragement and curiosity, I decided to give it a try. Things took off quickly, and I became the face of Aldo Coppola in Azerbaijan and then walked my first fashion week. That early recognition gave me the confidence to pursue this path seriously.

Q: Moving to the U.S. is a big step. How did it shape your career?

Saadat: Moving to the U.S. was a turning point, both professionally and personally. The American modeling industry is incredibly competitive, with talent from all over the world. Standing out wasn’t easy, but I embraced the challenge. I worked with amazing brands for e-commerce campaigns and participated in some incredible projects. These experiences sharpened my skills and made me versatile in this fast-paced industry.

Q: You’re one of the first Azerbaijani models to succeed in the American market. How does that feel?

Saadat: It’s an honor to represent Azerbaijan on such a global platform. Coming from a country where the fashion industry is still developing, stepping into the U.S. market was both exciting and intimidating. I had to work hard to build my portfolio and network in a space that’s brimming with talent from all over the world. But being able to carve out a space for myself and represent my culture internationally is deeply rewarding. I also hope it inspires other young talents from Azerbaijan to believe in their potential and pursue their dreams on a global scale.

Q: Aside from modeling, you’re also passionate about fashion design. What inspired that interest?

Saadat: Fashion design was my first love. Growing up, I was always drawn to creative expression, sketching designs, and exploring fabrics. Modeling has given me a deeper understanding of fashion — how garments move, how they’re crafted, and how storytelling is integral to design. I’ve also taken classes to sharpen my educational background on this matter, which deepened my understanding of luxury fashion. These experiences have further fueled my dream to launch my own fashion line, blending traditional and modern elements.

Q: The fashion industry is evolving. How do you use your platform to influence it?

Saadat: I’m committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in fashion. I believe the industry needs to reflect the world’s rich variety of cultures, body types, and perspectives. I also love combining creativity with storytelling, ensuring every project I work on resonates with authenticity.

Q: What’s next for you? Any exciting plans?

Saadat: I’m focused on expanding my career while exploring investments and preparing for a future where I can balance modeling, designing, and business ventures. Ultimately, my goal is to combine all my passions under one creative vision.

Q: Finally, what advice would you give to someone aspiring to follow in your footsteps?

Saadat: Stay true to yourself and your vision. The journey will have challenges, but every setback is an opportunity to grow. Be consistent, adaptable, and always open to learning. And most importantly, don’t be afraid to take risks — great opportunities often come when you step out of your comfort zone.
